Serial Xtractor™

The API

Most operators already have a system of record. This puts the serial into it as the scan happens, rather than giving you a second place to look.

We are building this now and choosing which systems to support first. Early partners decide that order. Tell us what you run, or what you build, and we will tell you honestly where we are.

The problem with a second system

An operator who scans in one place and runs their business in another ends up doing the work twice. Serials get rekeyed, the two records drift, and the one an auditor asks for is whichever you cannot produce.

  • The serial lands in your system of record, not alongside it.
  • No rekeying, so no transcription errors introduced after the scan.
  • One number for a device, not two that have to be reconciled.

What it does not change

The capture, the operator check and the ledger all work exactly as they do everywhere else. The integration is about where the record ends up, not about relaxing what makes it worth having. An entry written through the API carries the same capture, readings and operator decision as one written on a handheld.

Seeking integration partners

This is in development and deliberately unfinished. We would rather build the integration a real operator needs than guess at three and get all of them slightly wrong.

  • If you run an ITAD ERP, we want to talk about a supported integration.
  • If you are an operator, tell us what you run and what would have to be true for it to be worth switching on.
  • Early partners shape what this becomes, which is the point of talking now rather than at release.

Partner with us on it

We are looking for ERP vendors and operators to build this against. Tell us what you run and how serials reach it today, and we will tell you honestly whether we are close enough to be useful yet.

We're on a mission to bring automation to ITAD
